The first three months of a calf’s life are critical as their immune system and rumen are developing. DairyWay® Calf Starter is designed to optimize intake and support rumen development while calves are transitioning from a liquid diet to a solid diet. DairyWay Calf Starter provides your dairy calves with the carbohydrates and energy they need for growth and the minerals and vitamins they need for strong bones and good health.

Feeding Instructions
Feed 2 to 4 quarts (1.9 to 3.8 liters) of clean, disease-free colostrum within 4 hours of birth.
Feed 2 to 3 quarts (1.9 to 2.8 liters) of colostrum twice daily for the first 3 days of life.
Start calves on HerdFirst™ Milk Replacer and DairyWay Calf Starter after colostrum feeding period is complete.
Provide fresh, clean water continuously beginning by day 3.
Wean calves when they consume 4 lbs. (1.8 kg) of starter per day for at least 3 consecutive days.
At 6–8 weeks of age, supplement DairyWay Calf Starter with approximately 1 lb. (0.5 kg) of high-quality hay per day.
When calves reach approximately 150 lbs. (68 kg) transition to DairyWay Grower/Developer.
Keep all feeding utensils, equipment and calf pens clean; promptly remove stale or moldy feed.
