  • Feeding Instructions

Use the feeding table as a guide for feeding Triumph 12-8 Horse Feed. Be sure to monitor your horse’s body condition closely and adjust the feeding rate as necessary for the desired body condition and activity level.

When changing from hay feeding to a combined hay plus feed ration, make the change gradually over a one-week period. Split total daily amounts into 2-3 feedings per day. Hay should be fed at the rate of 1.0 to 1.5 LB per 100 LB bodyweight.

Provide plenty of fresh clean water at all times, except to hot, tired horses. See your Nutrena Feed Supplier for additional information or a special feeding program.

Free choice salt should be available at all times.

Horses that have been exercised should be cooled out and re-hydrated properly before being fed and before having access to unlimited water.
