Feeding Instructions

Feed as the sole ration to growing and adult ducks starting at 4 weeks of age. Small breed ducks may require that pellets be crumbled for the first 2 weeks.

Appropriate sized grit should be offered. Oyster shell should be offered free choice to layer ducks.

Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times.

After having a HARD time finding local suppliers, including Tractor Supply and Atwood’s, that carried duck feed at all…I started with an all flock feed. The ducks (and the chickens) just didn’t really seem to like it and I really felt they weren’t going through it like they should. By chance I found Nutrena and found it in stock, reliably, in another town where we already went for our horse feed. The ducks LOVE this feed!! They are chunky, eat regularly, look amazing with bright shiny feathers, and actually get excited when they see their ‘green scoop’ for a fresh top off. Not to mention my eggs are regular and well developed.
